2-nd place on Chaos Constructions 2005 demoparty(Russia). Dedicated to my favorite scene artist - Visualice.

Daily DeviationWords escape me with Farina_Silver_Star by ~raynoa, which takes a look at a sci-fi realm of sorts. The detail is astounding as it compliments the emotion of the characters. (Suggested by `gas13 and Featured by `halfliquid)

Heh, I was going to say that this looks just like Visualice's work, even though your own style is clearly present too. I like his art, but IMO it doesn't have the same level of originality and creativity as your pieces.

This is clearly the best painting I've seen from you, I love the way you've combined many different elements from scifi to furry critters. The style, the atmosphere and the technique are all stunning.

I heard these words after the demoparty, about originality of style, colors and trivia. I didn't studied in art school or courses, so base technics of drawing were question for me. I began to draw with mouse, main tools were smudge, dodge, burn and line tool. I didn't draw sketches of whole picture, preferring to draw one part, then other, then other, composition was sometimes wrong, but I exactly don't know what is composition or perspective. Results - weeks of drawing, too slow, but my own style.
Then, I've bought tablet, and the technique of drawing begin to change. Tutorials about digital art and using of Photoshop features opened my eyes on computer drawing. Not smudging, not drawing different parts - it was mistakes. The picture must be at beginning in sketch, then big details, medium details, color, small details, postprocessing and so on. Every step must be on whole picture, not in a part.
At that moment I was involved in gamedevelopment(pc and now mobile), ther was no space for experiments. I must draw a product, not masterpiece of abstraction, as I was said.
Meeting with xlynx was good help for me - he draw in traditional style, as I describe higher, and cooperative work helped me a lot. Now main instruments are "brush", loads of brushes with different preferences, and loads of layers.
That's the story. BTW I put photo with ascii graffiti into "scraps". It's from Galza ascii russian group, pack 17.

Nice work..

I really like how the person in the shot looks like the background yet organic.

Flowing organic being.

yeah.

Wow, I was going to suggest this piece as a Daily Deviation, but apparently I was too slow. Congratulations, the feature is very well deserved. I just wish the writeup could have included a short mention of demoscene.
